Climb Kilimanjaro
A climb through grassland, varieties of forest types, heath & moorland, alpine desert, arctic snow caps and ice, rising high above the surrounding savannah is Africa’s highest mountain, and one of the highest dormant volcanoes in the world, at 5896m/19340ft AMSL. It has attracted experienced and non-experienced trekkers from all over the world as the beauty of the climb is that it is possible to reach the summit without technical mountaineering equipment or any experience and training. You can journey to Uhuru peak on a private tour or join a pre-existing group.

Scheduled group climb...
If you are travelling alone and want to meet fellow likeminded trekkers, our scheduled group tours are a perfect way to join a pre-existing group at a unbeatable price. You will share your support staff and equipment with other group members and hopefully take some pictures at high altitude and give you memories to share for a lifetime .
Congratulations to Maxim Giorgi Goncharova the worlds youngest person to climb Kilimanjaro!
The youngest person (at the age of 5 years) to ever reach Gilman's Point! Maksim Giorgi Goncharova from Russia attempted to climb Mount Kilimanarjo on Friday 8th March 2013 with his family, a group of five persons including his parents, through Shah Tours & Travels Ltd. It was a six day trek including one day for acclimatization via the Marangu route. Maksim reached Gilman’s Point (5685AMSL) on Tuesday 12th March 2013 at approximately 16:00 hours. Congratulations Maksim for setting a world record to be the youngest to reach that height in Africa on foot!

Mount Meru for acclimatisation
Mountain Meru is the second highest mountain in Tanzania, at 14979ft/4566m, overshadowed by Kilimanjaro, its famous neighbour. Not only is it a rewarding and picturesque trek in its own right, providing spectacular views of Mt Kilimanjaro and the surrounding country side, it is also very good acclimatisation for a Kili trek.
